Florence Unified "Stay in School Program"

Beginning July 21st, we are starting a new program called the “Stay in School Program”, which is designed to increase student attendance. Research has shown us that students do much better in school if they attend school on a daily basis.

San Tan Heights Student Council Officers Learn Skills in Prescott Retreat

The Student Council Officers and several class representatives of San Tan Heights Elementary School attended an overnight retreat in Prescott on February 5th and 6th.  At that time, they learned leadership skills, made new friendships with students throughout the Arizona area, and brought back with them a whole lot of ideas to implement at our school.  Here are some thoughts from two of our officers:

Coolidge School Sending One of Its Own to State Spelling Bee

For the second time in four years, Coolidge Unified School District is sending one of its own to the state spelling bee.  On February 26th at Vista Grande High School, the Pinal County spelling bee was held.  In attendance were approximately 60 students representing the various schools in Pinal County.  After two hours and spelling some words some of us have never heard of, 8th Grader Austin Ryba from San Tan Heights Elementary School was declared the winner!
